Our Pastor:
The Rev. Nan Adams comes to First Pres, Palestine, from Montgomery, AL, where she served 10 years as an installed pastor – first for Memorial Pres and then a merged congregation of Memorial and Westminster Presbyterian churches called Providence. Providence closed in 2024 and proceeds from the sale of the church building funded ministries focused on food insecurity locally, children’s welfare regionally, and church musicians nationally. Most of her 30+ years of ministry were served in northwest Florida (Navarre and Pensacola) with a five-year stint in Elkhart, IN.
Nan has three granddaughters who live way too far away in Daytona Beach. She loves to cook, especially for crowds, to play-at-golf, to read theology and well-written, non- gory murder mysteries, to watch Atlanta Braves’ baseball and Indiana Fever women’s basketball, and to travel. She has two kitties – Humphrey and Winston – who insure her home is always full of cat hair and love.
